A message to the community
Dear Bandhavas,
About Walkeshwar Kashi Math, Mumbai:
Situated on the banks of the holy Banaganga Tank, the Kashi Math branch, Mumbai premises at Walkeshwar is a very holy site for all GSBs. The Math was founded by H. H. Srimad Madhavendra Teertha Swamiji, the 7th Pontiff of Sri Kashi Math Samsthaan in the 18th Century.
The place is also known to be one of its three kinds - A jeevantha samaadhi of a Saint, since Srimad Madhavendra Teertha Swamiji Attained Jeevanth Samaadhi at this very place which is now adorned by a beautiful Vrindavan with Lord Hanuman Gracing it. ( the other two are of Saint Dnyaneshwar at Alandi, Maharashtra, and of Raghavendra Swamiji at Mantralayam, karnataka) The site is hence extremely holy and is one of the pillars of our strong culture
The Project:
Due to its proximity to the Sea shore and exposure to the saline breeze, the repair work of the building is long due for which the estimated project cost is about Rs. 18 to 20 Lacs.
Donations towards the same are solicited from Samaj Bandhavas as well as wellwishers of the Samaj from not just Mumbai or India, but all over the Globe.
Donation cheques may be drawn in favour of "WALKESHWAR SRI KASHI MATH" and may be mailed to the following address.

Mr Nagesh pai seems to be working hard in receiving donations for teh improvement of teh walkeshwar shrine near Bombay. Fair enough for all the reasoning given, but what surprises me is why cannot the Sudhindra Teetha Swami use the funds at his disposal who is sitting on a mound of wealth!!! What ever happens to all the money lying with him, may we ask??? Or is Nagesh R Pai his henchman?

What is a henchman? I dont know its meaning.. perhaps its the name of someone in your company :-).. God Save you from him :-).. and from the henchman within yourself, from who there is no escape.
But the bright side of being a henchman, as i understand the word is being a staunch devotee.. which i am of Shrimad Sudhindra Teertha Swamiji.
I will explain what a henchman means. But first could you please find out from the Swamiji where i sthe mound of money collected from all the devotees? Is there are any kind of an accounting pattern and does anyone know how much money is collected through donations and Padapoojas by this poojya Swamiji? None of the devotees seem to be purterbed by this obnoxious practice going on unhindered all through! How about some transparency for the samjas sake please?
